Builder Training
Creating a basic page and search directory
Introduction
Builder training will give you everything you need to get started editing your Community Builder site. The training is split into three small projects, which you should complete in order to build up your knowledge at an easy pace.
Instructions
Follow the lessons in order.
Each lesson has a follow along component, where you can gradually build content for the platform. We recommend doing this to cement the learning, however if you do not have time you can simply watch the videos and come back to them in the future when you need to create content for your platform.
Each video has time stamps, which can be accessed in the video description or by hovering over the timeline.

Repeater fields allow users to enter multiple responses to the same set of questions.

Our basic page and form are made, but it’s currently all stacked on top of each other. Let’s reorganise the page using structure blocks.

Lesson 8. Using Basic HTML in ACB
Length: 2 minutes
HTML can be used for many things on ACB, but at its most basic level it is used to add text to the page. ACB lets you take this a step further by easily replacing any text with information from the user.

- HTML Online is an editor that will let you create HTML in a standard text editor, you can then copy and paste this back into the ACB HTML block menu

- WS3 Schools is a really quick and easy reference point for various HTML tags, with copy and paste examples of anything you might want to achieve
Lesson 9. The Design Tab

This lesson will cover the design tab, which will let you quickly style and adjust your blocks on ACB.

Search directories on ACB work in a unique manner. The best way to understand how to edit and adjust your existing search directories is to create a brand new one yourself.

These training activities are meant to be completed after you have attended Builder Training with a CST representative or finished the above Builder Video Training Series.
These activities will give you the necessary experience to help you confidently begin making changes to your Aluminate Community Builder site. While the ACB platform is created with default modules and pages ready to go, it is beneficial to know how to make changes, create new pages, and add blocks so you can customise the platform as the needs of your online community change
