What is an Entity?
Put simply, an Entity is content for your site created from a Concept. Examples of Entities include:
It takes the Data Fields from a Concept and feeds them through a Layout to create content that can be viewed on the platform.
So if you make an entity from the Event Concept, for example, you will be able to create a piece of content with the appropriate information for an event.
Click or tap on any of the images in the guide to open them full size.
Creating a New Entity
To create a new Entity:
The page will refresh automatically and you will be brought to the editing page for your Entity.

Populating the Entity
Once you have the editing page open you will see various settings for your Entity. At the top of the page you will see the following three sections, which act as the primary editing tools for your entity:

1. Entity Data
Every Entity will provide you with the Data Fields from the Concept you used to create it. These will allow editors on your platform to quickly and easily add content.
Simply fill out the fields as appropriate. There are a few unique settings in this section:
Page
Here you select the Layout you wish the entity to use. If you are unsure of which Layout to select for your entity please consult the Client Support Team.
Icon and Header
These two images will be displayed somewhere on the Layout, and the Icon will be used in search areas on the front end of the platform. There is no set size these need to be, but we recommend going for 1920 x 1080px for the Header, and 500 x 500px for the Icon if you are unsure.
Powerups
Powerups allow you to add various functionality to your Entity, such as Memberships, and have their own help guide, which can be found here.

2. Set Visibility
Whenever an Entity is created, it is set to be invisible to everyone by default. This allows you to work on new Entities without having to worry about your users seeing them. When you’re ready to show your work to your users, you can simply set the visibility settings as appropriate here.
You will have the same visibility settings as you do across the site for things like blocks and pages.
3. Permissions
Permissions allows you to set various Management permissions for certain user lists, such as allowing leaders of a group to create events within said group.
For now, when creating an entity, you can ignore it.
Saving an Entity
Once you have filled out the fields available to you, simply click Save all, found under the Icon and Header images, to save your work. Now your entity will appear in appropriate search areas (so long as you have set it to be visible using the Set Visibility section as explained above)

Editing an Existing Entity
To edit an entity you have already created, once again Click on the Concept and simply select it from the list of Entities that appears.
